The EPIC study club is founded and directed by Dr. Mehdi Noroozi, DDS, MSc, Dip. Perio, FRCDC. This study club has been designed to be an effective small group education module for dental professionals, including dentists, hygienists and dental assistants in different categories based on the mostly needed information for each group. It is completely evidence based and updated. The works are all authentic and are all the treatments rendered by Dr. Noroozi on his patients. This study club is a platform for dental professionals to get to be familiar with the most recent developments, knowledge, techniques and possibilities in contemporary periodontics and implant dentistry, completely based on sound evidence available today. The EPIC study club has structured a thorough and comprehensive curriculum comprising of lectures, case presentations, problem solving panels, treatment planning sessions and hands-on clinical sessions on mannequins and real patients. This course has been designed to be sort of mini post-graduate residency for general practitioners and includes regular one monthly session for a 12 month program like true university without walls. The multidisciplinary approach to periodontics and implant dentistry in the EPIC Study group is facilitated by having other specialists from other disciplines to join the group for presentations and lectures relevant to our field to emphasize the role of team work and multi-faceted approach to our patients problems.
